Type Of Activity:

Objectives of Asscociation

  • To understand importance of environment .
  • To organize the educational tours (to visit the known and unknown places) .
  • To develop the awareness about the pollution.
  • To celebrate “Geographical Day” .
  • To organize guest lectures discussion, slide show, map exhibition to enrich geographical knowledge.

The Department conduct various activities through out the year through Geography Association.

Activities during Year 2013-14

  1. On the occasion of “Ozone Day” exhibition of Photos and articles, on 16th Oct. 2013.
  2. Organised two day UGC sponsored National Conference on “Impact of Urbanisation on Environment”, on 27th -28th Oct. 2013.

Activities during Year 2012-13

  1. One day trekking activity enroute Gaganbawada - Karul Ghat was arranged on 2en Sep. 2012. On this  route, Students observed landslide places.
  2. Exhibition of Geography instruments was arranged for college on 15th Jan. 2013
  3. Geography Day  was celebrated on 16th Jan. 2013 lecture on “Importance of Geography” was delivered by Dr. S. K. Pawar, Asso' Prof. Shivaji University , Kolhapur.
  4. The study tour for of B .A. III Geography students was arrenged from 5th Dec. to 14th Dec. 2012.  The study tour route was Kagal-Mumbai-Delhi-Shimla-Amritsar-Mumbai-Kagal.  Detail tour report was completed by students under the guidance of Prof. B. K. Swami and Dr. Smt. A. N. Randive.
  5. Following Project was under taken by B. A' III Geography
  •  'Population in Admapur'A Geographical Study, under the guidance of Prof. B. K. Swami.
  •  Admapur- A religious tourist place' a Geographical study under the guidance of Dr. Y. S. Mote

Activities during Year 2011-12

  1. One day Trekking at Gaganbawada- Karur Ghaat was organized for students of Geography as a study tour on 18th Aug. 2011.
  2. Observance of ‘International Ozone Day’ on 16th Sept. 2011.
  3. Annual study tour of students of B.A.III (Special Geography) was organized to few palace of South India like Bangalore, Mysore, Uti, Aranakulam, Kanyakumri on 15th to 23rd Nov. 2011.
  4. Four students of Dept. of Geography was participated in workshop on ‘Global Warming’ organized by Smt. A.R. Patil Kanya Mahavidyalalya, Ichalkaranji on 21st Sept. 2011.
  5. Two Projects was undertakne by B.A.III Geography students. Namely- Sex Ratio in Kaneriwadi Village Kanerimath – Religious Tourism Centre
