Welcome to D. R. Mane Mahavidyalaya, Kagal

Dear Friends,

     It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of D. R. Mane Mahavidyalaya, Kagal, a proud constituent of The Kagal Education Society (KES), Kagal. The Kagal Education Society is a well-established educational trust that manages 26 institutions, serving the educational aspirations of the region from Kindergarten to Postgraduate level.

      D.R. Mane Mahavidyalaya, established in 1984, is located at the taluka headquarter of Kagal. Over the years, the college has emerged as an important centre of higher learning for students coming largely from 37 surrounding rural villages of Kagal, Karveer, and Hatkanangale talukas of Maharashtra, as well as from villages situated along the Maharashtra–Karnataka border. The institution is deeply committed to providing inclusive and quality education to students from rural and socio-economically diverse backgrounds.

      The college offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the traditional disciplines of Arts, Commerce, and Science.These include,

B.A. in English, Marathi, Hindi, Geography, History and Economics;
B.Com. in Advanced Accountancy;
B.Sc. in Chemistry and Computer Science;
M.Com. in Advanced Accountancy; and
M.A. in Hindi.

     In keeping with the changing academic and professional landscape, the college also offers career-oriented professional programmes such as Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) and B.Com. (Computer Application).

In addition, the institution runs a Junior College Wing, providing Higher Secondary education in Arts, Commerce, and Science, along with vocational courses in Medical Laboratory, Radiology, Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Automobile, Electronics and Ophthalmic under the HSC (Vocational) stream. Several skill-based and professional certificate courses in subjects such as English, Computer Science, and Accountancy are also offered on a self-financing basis to enhance students’ employability.

    The college strongly encourages students to participate in NCC, NSS, sports, and cultural activities, recognizing their vital role in personality development. A variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are regularly organized to nurture leadership qualities, social responsibility and creative talents.

    We firmly believe that a balanced blend of formal education and value-based learning contributes to the holistic development of students. Our continuous efforts are directed toward creating effective support mechanisms and student-centric initiatives that help learners realize their aspirations and confidently face academic, professional, and social challenges.
